Microblading Aftercare steps and treatment

Immediate Eyebrow Aftercare

Instantly after the microblading treatment, you may notice that your body is producing a yellow looking lymph fluid. This is a normal occurrence of a healthy immune system and if you like, you can choose to use a fragrance-free baby wipe in a rubbing back and forward motion to remove all your lymph fluid, blood and excess ink that may form a scab.

Repeat this procedure every hour for the first 3 hours. Besides your baby wipe please do not get your eyebrow wet for the 7day healing process.

If the treatment was done late in the afternoon and you do not have time to wipe over your brows for 3 hours, don’t panic! Try to sleep on your back and protect the eyebrows from drying and wiping on your pillow overnight.

In the next 7 days, maintain facial hygiene. If you are finding a lot of excess ink building up, very gently dab your brows with a clean and new fragrance-free baby wipe once a day. Be careful not to rub your brows and simply just dab them as you could possibly rub the ink out of your freshly microbladed brows.

Rubbing with a baby wipe is only an exception on the very first day within the 3 hours.

Please use the recommended aftercare cream. LESS IS MORE when it comes to aftercare cream; you must use this as sparingly as possible. When your brows are feeling tight, you can dab on a small amount of aftercare cream. If your brows are hydrated and not tight, do not use any aftercare cream at all.

What To Avoid During The Healing Process

During The First 7 Days:

Avoid all the creams, moisturizers, all make-up (foundation) on the eyebrow area. Avoid workouts that involve a lot of sweating, sauna, facial massage and steaming. Avoiding these should ensure better, infection-free and clearer feather stroked brows.

During The First 30 Days:

Avoid sunbathing, solarium, light therapies, chemical peelings, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, and creams that contain regeneration factors.

Always avoid laser treatments over the treated area during the microblading healing process (Fraxel laser, IPL), as they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.

Avoid the use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy because these can lead to faster pigment fading. Always protect the eyebrows from the sun by using an SPF 50 either on its own or in a moisturiser but most definitely over the brows.

Factors That Effect Your Results

The success of the treatment depends on many factors including but not limited to:

  • Skin quality
  • Post-treatment flow & care
  • Exposure to different environments

All of these factors are out of the artist’s control, so any possibility to provide guarantees for the treatment is excluded. We always say:

“50% OF THE TREATMENT IS BY US AND THE OTHER 50% IS YOU LOOKING AFTER IT”

Please rest assured that everyone’s healing process is different and it’s an interesting process to watch first hand.
